Dear Seema Mam,

We wish to accord our appreciation for the FDP held at the school on 4th Nov'11. It was simply an outstanding event for us parents to see our child on stage and devoid of any stage fright.

All kudos go to you Anshu Ma'm for putting in time and effort with all the children to put up such a marevelous performance. In fact, it was quite a funny experience to watch parents fumble when asked to be a part of the program. The children were quite confident and relaxed and in contrast the parents were a bit nervous !

We hope you continue instilling good values to the children.

We would like to extend our heart full gratitude to Ms. Hema Kapur, Class teacher II B, for being a wonderful support to our son Aditya Gupta to settle down in the school after we moved this year from Delhi to Gurgaon. Thanks to Ms. Hema Kapur for all the good work that she is doing. Ms. Hema Kapur created a nurturing environment in the class, which enabled Aditya to prosper not only academically but also socially. He just looks every morning going to school and this is because he has developed an attachment to his class, his teacher and the school. He really loves the extra activities and the games that he play at school. Thanks for having a balanced approach to teaching.

We see a very bright future for our son Aditya at your school under your leadership.  We are confident that school is doing and will continues to do a fantastic job to encourage Aditya in accomplishing his goals and carving a bright future for himself.

Thanks once again for all the dedication & hard work that you all are putting the best in the students and pray Almighty to the blessings on all of us for the good deed we are doing.

Dear Mam,

we are writing this mail to convey our sincere gratitude towards the support extended by the school staff, especially Dr.Kalpana and her team of nurses and ofcourse Ms.Hema Kapoor (Tarana's class teacher).

We are deeply touched by the sensitivity and promptness with which each member of the school team responded to Tarana in that hour of need and could get her the prompt medical attention.

Considering Tarana was very new to the school and in her situation that day she could not even express her pain, but had it not been her class teacher who promptly noticed her condition and took immediate action by sending her to the Medical room and subsequently Dr.Kalpana who not only sincerely attended to her but was quick to gauge her condition and rushed her to the hospital in her own car with help from her efficient team of nurses instead of waiting for external support.

Today, we have no words to express our gratitude for all members of the school staff for their support on that day in the hospital and even later. We were really touched by the gesture.

We feel extremely fortunate that our daughter is a part of this prestigious institution and we sincerely hope and pray that it continues to flourish.

Once again thank you so much for your support.

Yours Sincerely,

Dear Ms. Bhati,

I hope things are great at your end. I am writing in to you today to put down our sincere appreciation for the hard work that is being put
in by the teachers of Rohan and Rianna in class III G, specifically Debashree madam and Priti madam. Our delight is not that things were perfect, but that for issues that existed, we had an open discussion with the class teacher and the issues were dealt with in the right manner. The kids have been enjoying school, and their confidence is evident by the great show that was put up for the Front Desk Program.
We could see that the teachers have worked very hard and specifically worked with individual children to ensure that no child is relegated to the background.

Thank you once again for your leadership and commitment to the Junior section, and we remain committed to any assistance that you may need in your endeavor to make the school better.

Ma'am,

First of all, we heartily congratulate the entire school staff to put up such an exhilarating stuff by all the kids.  We saw the feedback from various parents on the website on FDP and would like to join hands with them to once again congratulate the school to bring out hidden talent of kids, which we appreciate, is quite difficult at this age of the kids.

More importantly, what we liked about the program was involvement of parents too in the program. We could see not only in our daughter but almost every kid, the craving to get his / her parent also involved in the program.  This made the entire auditorium ( the stage and the audience ) a very very lively place to be in.  Frankly we never realised we spent so much time in there.  The program was indeed a very well thought out exercise.

We would also like to portray our special thanks to the class teacher, Ms. Shikha Jain, who very well anchored the entire show.

Thanks once again and we are proud to be a Scottish High family.

My husband, Awanish, and I attended the Front Desk Program on 8 Sept 2011, and came away thoroughly impressed.
Aryan has blossomed over the past 4 years at Scottish High, and is now a confident and globally-aware young person.

Class III - C put up a brilliant performance - well designed, well articulated and well executed.

We always knew we had a talented and bright child, but we compliment Scottish High and Aryan's wonderful teachers for bringing out the best in him and his class-mates.
Three cheers for all the students, Ms Shweta, Ms Bhavna, Ms Avinash and Mr Tony for putting this sprightly group of children onstage to deliver a meaningful message in such a beautiful way!

Thanks for inviting us to be a part of our child's learning journey,

Dear Ms. Bhati,

I had never thought that kid's learning experience can lead changes in parent's life as well. I would like to extend my thanks to you for building such a positive and great learning environment. I believe that It's not only for kid but it's a great learning experience for parents too by being a part of FDP. There is no match to see your child growing with right set of attributes. Like all FDP programs, I was at Scottishigh on 2 nd September where children presented what they know about Shelters. I observed few things, like; parent-teachers' interaction, teachers'-children interaction, children's confidence about subject and their presentation skills. I was so amazed to see that everything was so perfectly organized that it left a positive deep impression on me. Credit goes to all who managed to achieve it successfully. Reiya's learning through PYP and UOI has been extensive and great. It hasn't only benefitted to Reiya but it has been a great channel of information to me as well. I trust that Scottishigh is the right place where my child will build foundation of learning. I am proud of my decision that my daughter Reiya Dutt (2-D) is a part of Scottishigh family.

Thanks again and a very Happy Teachers Day!

Dear Rupa Maam,

I want to take this opportunity to thank you in writing for providing exemplary support to my child, Daanish Behl, studying in class KG-F. In Nursery class, as you are aware, my child had gone into a shell, disliked going to school and in school would continue crying and would not talk to anybody.

Rupa Maam, because of your help, guidance, prompt actions and constant support alongwith the new motivating environment in KG-F, Daanish has turned into a happy child, who now enjoys going to school.

Mrs. Anuradha Mittal, the class teacher of KG-F is like a real guru to Daanish. Anu maam is not only an exceptional teacher but a crusader of unconditional selfless dedication. Under her guidance Daanish's has not only opened up with his peers and teachers, but has shown marked improvement in his self esteem, communication skills and class work. I want to point out that her constant advise to me helped Daanish to become a more confident child.

Anu Maam seems to have mastered skills of teaching through motivation and has a thorough understanding of need-gaps of each child. It took her no time to understanding that Daanish just required to be acknowledged more frequently, be encouraged to participate in class activities and interact more with his classmates.

Rupa Maam, we feel so lucky to have such a teacher for our son and this feeling is shared by most of the parents of KG-F. The School should be proud of having a faculty member like Anu Maam, who every day brings smiles to the faces of children under her wings and a sense of belonging to them.

We want to thank you and Anu Maam again for all your support and love that you have given to my son, Daanish.

Subject: My impressions

Rupa ma'am

It was pleasure to have met you recently during my visit to the school for a story reading session with the children of my daughter's class.

We have as yet had a very short duration of experience with the school (approx 2 months)but certain events have left a lasting impression on my mind. I would like to take this opportunity to share them with you.

My daughter Madhavi (KG-H) was quite shaken up in the initial week during April and refused to go to school. Every morning was an episode in trying to convince her. She would weep and resist. However her teacher Patuta Singh ma'am was quite supportive. She realized that Madhavi, not having experience of writing as yet was losing confidence so she allowed the flexibility to her for doing what she wanted to do. There were many occasions when Madhavi would not want to write even a single letter on her notebook and not a word to her. Every Friday the notebooks would come with the dates mentioned and I would sit and help her do something. Patuta ma'ams patience paid out and today Madhavi is most enthusiastic about school. The progress in terms of the quality of work Madhavi does and the joy with which she does it is a treat to watch. Thanks to ma'am for that.

My brief observation of you is on the first day of school when the buses were arriving with the children and you were around in the parking lot instructing people to move for escorting the younger children to the classes. It left with a feeling that you are “in charge”. And the next moment you turned around and greeted a parent and a child very warmly. It has given me the confidence that the school initials program is in the right hands.

Overall some other observations in our various visits to the school in the last few months.

The Administration staff at the school reception, Shashwati, Swagatika  and Anil are helpful & courteous and politely firm when required. It is truly appreciated. The security staff and the other support staff are also always polite, forthcoming and helping with directions or anything else that is required.

The bus staff (Satish Bhaiya), again polite and courteous. First word out of his mouth id Good morning. It is a pleasure.

Congratulations. I hope to continue to see the school go from strength to strength.

Regards,

Manisha Dua

Dear Principal & Team Scottish High,

It has been 5 th year of my relationship as parent with Scottish High. All I can say is I am very much delighted to see both my kids growing up in Scottish High with best of both worlds – the rich Indian cultural values AND modern quality education. I would like to thank you for the same and sincerely wish that I should be able to do this year after year.

Another academic year has passed – It is my duty to provide my feedback on my children's progress which I strongly believe is a measure of performance of their teachers.

In last one year – Devang has progressed from a shy toddler to persistent jabberer – this speaks of ability his teachers in developing his faith & confidence in outside world. This is his strong foundation in making. This was evident from the FDP that the children of Pre Nursery B presented. He is able to relate the teachings in class with real life situations. My sincere thanks to Ms Ranjana Mehra whose painstaking efforts in handling toddlers have manifested as confident, inquisitive, exploring children who will now step into Nursery class. Thanks to Ms Anshu's love & affection that my child enjoys being in school.

Ms Manya Jain is more of friend to my daughter – Dyuti -  than  a mere teacher. She has really helped my daughter to believe in herself - & her efforts are evident from Dyuti's academic assessment this year. As parent I assure Scottish High team to be an equal partner in developing Dyuti into a child that Scottish High will be proud of. In addition I would like to thank the Maths teacher Ms Geetanjali and Hindi Teacher Ms Pritima for getting the best out of Dyuti – Both of them have made Dyuti a great learner to handle the tough challenges of the subject. Besides the academics – it is the environ of SHIS that my daughter doesn't want to miss even a bit.

Dear Principal Madam and Mr Saini – Pls continue to lead the way you are doing, rest the results will show in the years to come.

Request you to pls convey the feedback to all the teachers concerned

Thanks a lot,

They were the class teachers for two of my children studying at SHIS for this last academic year. They are awesome teachers and equally outstanding individuals. Dear Mr. Saini,

I'm Saloni S.Bedi, both my children study in Scottish High, Sanjana Bedi (kg-h) & Adhiraj Bedi (nur-c).  Just wanted to bring to your attention that we are very satisfied with the school, in particular with Shipra Singh (teacher nur-c), she puts in a lot of effort with the children and I have noticed a huge change in my son, which I attribute mainly to Shipra mam's efforts.

She handles her class a little differently from the others & adds a lot of personal touches, which makes all the difference. Wanted to highlight the 'Grandparents day' activity, which happened around Sep'10.'Shipra ma'm made sure that all grand parents were welcomed with a 'tika' by the girls & the boys touched their feet. Simple gestures, but something I'm sure all the grand parents will cherish for a long time.

I think she is an asset to the school & maybe a sharing of her 'best practices' would help raise the overall standards of teaching to even greater heights.

Yours Sincerely,

We wish to place on record the “connect” which Shivani & Esha have been able to do with our Child Kartikay & the ever lasting impression on him to continuously improve himself in all what he does in School. Both of them are very dedicated & we found our Child to really develop in a systematic way. Kartikay is 100% energized to go to school & participate in all activities with lot of enthusiasm & positive energy. His food habits have improved a lot & all thanks to the School Catering staff & the lovely menu which is a perfect mix n match of varities of food .

As we are telling Kartikay that you will have a new teacher & school in new city , he is feeling sad & so are we but it is our destiny to switch for better career prospects to new city

The other tool which works silently as a communication medium between parents’ & teachers is ERIC.
A word of thanks to Mr Kartikay Saini whose extempore lectures really “energize” us .. It will not be a bad idea he starts giving lectures in Corporates & we executives are invited to Schools in evenings for Group discussions on topics of national importance.. May be this can be a new forum to integrate Society.

Sharmilla .. You are one of those Silent workers who works round the clock with such a large base of people & still be smiling & courteous as ever .

Last but not the least , we would like to thank the School Bus transport coordinator Vivek ( Route no 4) for his dedication & attention towards little kids which makes us as well the children safe & secure while travelling .

We will surely miss Scottish High & like to reconnect here once destiny brings us back to Gurgaon .

Subject: NOTE FROM PARENTS OF SHREY SAXENA CLASS IV- D

Dear Sir & Madam,

Year 2010 was an important year for our family in terms of our move to India after 9 long years. It was a year which was very tough for our son Shrey for whom this move was the most crucial. When we were planning our strategies, we only had our son on our minds. We were stuck between our dilemmas of two very opposite worlds. Question like, will Shrey be able to adjust ? will he be able to get the right education, right school, new friends, his zero knowledge for Hindi were the most important to us. I am sure each parent has these nightmares. We were giving all sorts of stories about schools in India, specially if a child was coming from US or any other part of the world.
We came with lot of fears in our minds and to some extent we did face certain bad experiences too. I do not want to name any schools as i do respect their own decisions but Shrey was made uncomfortable only because he had no knowledge about Hindi ? And yes they are very highly reputed schools of Delhi & Gurgaon. He cleared his Math & English test every where but we were told he won't be able to come up to his class standards only because of his lack of knowledge in Hindi ? And i thought they would help him achieve that , well isn't this one of the responsibilities of the teacher or may be i just think that. The schools were ready to take him but the approach they had really bothered us.
How will they support him if they can't even undersatnd his fears. We were just not convinced.
Shrey was so scared of Hindi that he was almost getting nightmares and we were so angry on the attitude of schools

But then there was something far better waiting for our son. We came across Scottish High International, a school that not only welcomed Shrey with open arms but told us to relax with all the worries we had in our minds. Hatts off to the teachers, today Shrey is one of the best students in Hindi in his class . Not to mention he has been doing so much well in all subjects too but his sole fear of Hindi doesn't exist anymore. It was only possible because of his dedicated teachers who have made him achieve this level, from a student for whom Hindi was next to impossible to a boy who feels proud when he brings his test papers home is an achievement par excellence. The teachers at Scottish High not only made him comfortable in his new environment, but also helped him in any way possible. My frequent talks with Ms Manya Jain and his hindi teacher Ms Pritima, rest assured me that i can just relax from his end. Ms Manya was indeed very helpful with Shrey in all terms. She understood his state of mind and saw his change of country had made him a lot nervous. She made him feel just at home. She kept me updated on his shortcomings too, which helped us to improve him in many ways. His Math teacher updated me about his different way of writing the sums as he followed the US pattern and she slowly changed him to the pattern his class was following.
Each of his teachers have given him full support and i really can't thank them enough. We were amazed and spellbound to his performance in FDP as Yuki the main character and we thought is that same shy boy who was so scared to go to a school in India ? His command was so firm and hardly had any stage fright. Today he scores 100% in all subjects, his handwriting is way better than in US not to mention he has come back to his talkative self too as he is comfortable in his new environment .

With his this year coming to an end i will really like to thank everyone who helped him come up to this level. for sure i recommend Scottish High to all my friends & family members. What this school has given us, is our peace of mind, and made the transition so much easier for our son. I really thank everyone from bottom of my heart.

I would like to end with a little conversation we had with Shrey about a month back. My husband asked Shrey how he would feel if we had to go back to US may be in a year's time ? Well of course he was all excited and jumped up and down but then he said " I wish there is a branch of Scottish High in LAX and he can just join them there, it will be so much fun "

Thanks Again for everything

Dear Sharmilla,

First of all i would like to thank to all of you all your all your efforts and supports given to my child during months.

I have to communicate that from Monday 14 th on onwards my child will leave Scottish High School because my company has taken the decision about a new office  in Delhi and this change don't allow to us continue coming to Gurgaon on dally basis.

We have found another chance into an academic institution in South Delhi and his mother and myself have decided that Junior Roberto continue his learning in this institution.

I am not 100% sure about the taken decision because Roberto isn´t agree on that. I will be eternally grateful your school because I heard diary only good words and fantastic things about Shweta, about the rest of the tearchers team, about his friends at class that are coming directly from my child and for that reason has been very difficult take the final decision.

I have been delaying that decision for that because my company was forcing to me going to Delhi during the last 3 months but finally I am not able to postpone a week more and we need to change our residence to Delhi.

I would request give all my thank to Sweeta. She has had a fully dedication and sweetheart special to my child and he only speaks fantastic and wonderful words related to her. He told me yesterday when I explained to Roberto that he needs to go to a new school that he thinks that he will never find a teacher like Shweta. It's also very difficult to myself and my wife leave the Scottish High because we consider ourselves a part  of the Scottish High. Also I feel so much because he was finalizing theatrical representation with the rest of his colleagues and he was hopeful showing to us his improvements.

I know that it´s not the best moment but I also feel that never it´s a good moment to leave Scottish High.

Thanks so much to all of you again.

Regards.

She just got her progress card which had great feedback for Udhriti. It felt nice to see that she was shaped so well by Scottish High to be able to cope with her new environment easily.

On a similar note, we could plan on taking them for the Republic Day Parade. If that is logistically difficult, we could explore the possibility of them witnessing the "Beating the Retreat" ceremony. There are numerous other Defence initiatives like showjumping, dogshows, etc we could think about.

I helped her to let the kids play sudoku game, monopoly game etc. I also gave her idea to have one "bring the heaviest potato competition" for the students. I also helped her to conduct market stall for the maths week. I enjoyed the maths week. Even students enjoyed the maths week. I think this is a wonderful way to teach the maths concept to students.

2)Kid O Mania
I am again thankful to Rupa mam to give me this opportunity to participate in this event. The event was well-organised and was a great fun. I was given the duty of escorts. I have observe how to do result  compilation.  I learnt a lot from the event how to handle the kids in this event.

3) FDP of class 4 A
I am thankful to Reeta mam to give me the opportunity to be an active participant in the FDP of class 4A.  She is an excellent teacher. She is very patient to the kids. On the last day the positions were changed but she handled it very nicely. I helped her to collect the resources for the FDP. I even made some of the props for the FDP. It was great to work with learners of class 4 A. The respect which learners gave to me during the FDP will be memorable for me. Parents specially came to Rita mam and appreciated a lot for her hard work.

4)FDP of class KG D

Thanks to Rupa mam for the opportunity. I was an active participant for the FDP of class KG D. I helped Renuka mam with the badges and smileys. She is a good teacher. I tried to help in best possible way. The FDP was good one.

This was an heart touching moment for me. The grandparents like it so much that one of the grandmother started crying during the event. Patricia organised everything perfectly. I also enjoyed working with her. I helped her with all craft work. During the event I actively participated in all the activities which were planned. I felt as I am part of the class. Subject: FDP initiative from Scottish High.

Dear Sharmila,

The FDP is a good initiative by Scottish High to develop the confidence and public speaking skills of the students and help them come out of their shell, overcome their shyness and stage fright.
The performance by the students of Class IV E on a simple theme - Oceans and The Marine life was spectacular and very well implemented. The concept of  learning by researching & enquiring was very well put into practice. The whole programme was thought provoking and it was good to see the students come out with amazing facts & figures - a truly enriching experience.
A spontaneous quiz for the parents had them involved as well.
Every Child not only performed well individually but also as a team.
We like to congratulate the team led by her class teacher Anita Bhalla for their pain staking efforts in making the programme a success.
The dance performance choreographed by Priya had the students swaying to a foot tapping number. The students and teachers alike deserve a standing ovation. We are proud to have our daughter Shuchita at Scottish High being nurtured under the  guidance and support of her compassionate teachers over the past 5 years.
We appreciate the efforts of the SHIS Management and wish them all success in their future endeavours.

Best Regards

Dear Ma'am,

The Grandparents Day at Scottish High held on 30th September, 2010 (Nursery B) was a memorable one for all grandparents. We got a peek at the amount of effort and moulding our grandchildren are going through to enable them to be future responsible and talented citizens of tomorrow.

The two hours we spent seemed to pass off so quickly that it left us wanting for more. When we entered the classroom we were pleasently surprised as all children greeted us with warmth and affection along with their teachers Ms Bhavna and Ms Bhavneet.

We were able to get a view of what our grandchildren have been doing at school as evident from the various works, crafts, activities displayed in the classroom. We were amazed to see the children independently do the craft activity and come out with creative outputs. It is heartenening to note that the school and its teachers have taken so much care and effort in working on the overall aspects of bringing up the children with emphasis on foundation building.

Overall it was a great experience for us to visit the school and participate in the classroom session and watch our grandchild Divvyesh in action.

Thanks to SCOTTISH HIGH for giving such respect and opportunity to all grandparents to be a part of the process.

Thanking you,
Mr. TJ KAILASAM & Mrs LALITA KAILASAM

Hi Sharmila

We wanted to pass on our compliments to the school for the FDP initiative.

We were fortunate to be part of the FDP for both Zev and Neeve Walia and it was commendable to see the confidence that the kids have developed as a result of this initiative.

Our special and sincere thanks to both class teachers Anita Bhalla and Varsha Panwar for their outstanding commitment to the children.

We are blessed to have a school like Scottish High which has some of the most compassionate teachers who have helped nurture and develop both our children.

Warm Regards

Dear Maa'm
It's about today's FDP show. The show was fantastic. The confidence level of each child was clearly visible. And the touching part was when they all came to meet their parents. And above all they all learned about the unit in a very creative manner. We also learned  with them about ocean creatures.
We are very thankful to you for all the efforts and support.
As this is her first session in the school, but I'm quite confident that she is in right hands now.
thanks

Dear Mam,

It was a very well conceptualized and equally well implemented program, bringing out the essence of the UOI - Oceans.

It seemed to be learning process not just for the kids but for the parents as well.

It turned Akshat into an Inguirer as he kept asking questions on Marine Life as the unit progressed. The dance was very well choreographed.
These sort of programs help kids to get over the stage fright and help them develop the confidence to speak in public.

We once again congratulate all concerned.

I also saw that all the children knew alot of things and everybody got a chance to speak and the facts they came up with were seriously breathtaking and unbelievable. I didnt know many things which the children spoke. Pankhuri was also seeming very confident. I thank you for your support for Pankhuri and I wish that you keep doing the same.

Dear Madam

This note is to convey are immense congratulations & appreciation to the management, teaching fraternity, administrative staff & ofcourse the children for an absolutely amazing & fantastic function that was organised on the eve of Independence Day.

The function exhibited a clear benchmark that our Scottishigh is in the process of setting in the education stream. This is not only reflective of our feelings but, the  people in our network who have kids going to other schools, even they have been talking about this function. We truly believe the euphoria that this function has created is immense and it's a great achievement.

We are founder parent members of Scottishigh (Vatsal Chopra: IV-A; Anya Chopra: Prenursery A) and are very proud of this association. This gets strengthened day by day, month on month.

While the entire program was a great treat to watch, we feel the 'Soccer Section' was just outstanding. Kudos to Mr. Deepak Jha & his project team for the alignment, conceptualisation & perfect execution that created Music which is still soothingly playing in our ears.

Thank you and many congratulations once again.

Dear Deepak Sir,

Thank you so much for presenting such a fantastic soccer show on the occasion of Independence Day.  It displayed such a fantastic array of moves and tricks presented in a mere span of 7-8 minutes. The best part of the show was that it was performed solely by the children under your guidance. They seemed very enthusiastic and happy performing it.  It surpassed all my imagination and expectations as this high level of presentation was definitely not expected from the junior school soccer team.  I was so touched to see the show that words fall short in its praise. I understand the planning, perseverance, patience and effort that goes into organizing such an all inclusive and a well executed show in such a short span of time.

On the occasion of Independence Day, let me take this opportunity to thank you for having such a positive influence in Arjun's life and making him feel so confident and self reliant. Also let me thank the school management for creating such a nurturing and encouraging environment where teachers can actually plan and execute such a show. Thanks for everything that you are doing at your school and all your efforts are highly appreciated.

This is just a small note of appreciation for the remarkable contribution that Scottish High has done towards the development of my son Ayman Tripathie, a student of KG I. Ayman joined Scottish High in Nursery in 2009, and since then his progress in articulation and confidence has been very perceptible. All this has been possible because of the dedication and commitment of the wonderful teachers that he has been associated with.

I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to them, especially Ms Rupali Pandey of KG I. Thank you Rupali Mam for positively channelising his energy. His ability to come back home and enumerate the various happenings of the day has seen a significant change. His social & linguistic skills have also developed remarkably. This has been possible only because of your concerted effort.

A heartfelt thank to the very special teachers of Scottish High for taking care and bringing in such a change in my little one.

Thank You, Scottish High and all of you for the love and support extended in all the spheres of my interaction with the school.

Dear Mr. Saini,

I really wanted to thank you for the wonderful job you are doing at your school.  My son, Anish Gupta, who was in Grade 1-H, has had such a wonderful time at your school this past academic year.

It is because of all the efforts of his class teacher, Ms. Suhita Puri, (Class Teacher of 1-H), that he has transited so well from the US to India. Initially, we were a little apprehensive whether Anish would adjust to the school here, as there was this big language barrier. However, Ms. Puri created a nurturing environment which enabled Anish to prosper not only academically but also socially at school and at home.  He just looks forward to going to school every morning and this is because he has developed an attachment to his class, his teacher and the school.  He does not want to go back to the American School as he says that he loves this school a lot. He really loves the extra activities and the games that they play at school. Thanks for having a balanced approach to teaching.

I can see a very bright future for Anish at your school.  I am confident that your competent staff will do a fantastic job to motivate my son in accomplishing his goals and carving a bright future for himself.

Thanks once again for all the dedication & hard work that you all are putting in at your school.

Its been a week since we attended our daughter,Ayesha's( Pre Nursery B) FDP but the excitement of the event has still not died down and prompted me to send this mail. She is ever ready to run through the whole assembly (including the other children's parts !) the minute she has a willing audience. It was a proud moment for us as parents to be present at her FDP and watch her conduct the assembly. It was heartwarming to see the children's enthusiasm, eagerness and confidence with which they spoke and sang. I must commend the class teachers, Ms Ranjana Mehra and Ms Ina Atmdeep for putting together such a good show that managed to cover all the key points from the various units the children had learnt, interspersed with rhymes and songs to make it even more interesting for the children and parents. Practising for the FDP has re enforced all they have learnt and helped them remember the matter in a way that was interesting for them.  My husband and I were also really touched by Ms Mehra's gesture of inviting all the class children to her house and looking at the photographs of the childrens visit we could see how much thought had gone into planning the morning ,especially the  pooris in various shapes which were a real hit with the children. Her genuine affection for the children is apparent and we know Ayesha is in good hands. A special mention must also be made about the co teacher Ms Atmdeep who joined the class few months into the academic year. I must admit I was worried as Ayesha was quite attached to Ms Banerjee and was just settling down but she  ably took over and in fact handled the class on her own while Ms Mehra was on leave. Her cheerful nature, enthusiasm and patient handling of the children has endeared her to all of them.

A big thank you to both of them for all their hard work in putting together the assembly.

Looking forward to more such programmes,

Regards,

Rohini Rao Johar

Hello Mr. Chairman,

My daughter, Tansi Shukla is a student of Pre-Nursey A in your esteemed School and recently there was a showcase of talent presented by students under the guidance of teachers on what the students have learned in the class from teachers. My daughter has learned a lot after she has joined the school and is definetly gaining the self confidence and learning new things day by day.

This is possible only because of the environment of the school and the special efforts put in by the teachers - Mrs Meera and Mrs Bhavna. A Very Special Thanks to them and all they have done for Tansi is very well appreciated by myself and my wife Rinki.

Dear Mr. Saini

Our son, Akaash R. Parthasarathy, is a student in KG-F at Scottish High.  We wanted to convey the positive experience that we have been having with the school.

We are very happy with Akaash's progress.  He enjoys going to school and talks with enthusiasm about things that happen in school on a regular basis.  The encouragement and positive reinforcement provided by his teacher, Mrs. Veena Puri, is helping in a great way.

The school has a right blend of academics and other activities.  There is also a good mix of Indian and international focus both in terms of academics and culture.

We are very happy that we chose Scottish High.

Thanks.

Dear sir/madam,

We want to thank you and acknowldge to you the comfort and a lot of convenience we had because of SHIS thinking differently(from other schools) about school-timing when it was foggy and very cold outside this winter. On my way back from office, I used to be surprised looking at many other very small kids of different schools waiting for their school buses very early in morning time average between 6 am and 7.30 am. It made no sense to me but you have to live with it when the school wants to follow "a tradition". But fortunately You made a difference and took a practical decision to keep changing time as and when required and the priority was the comfort of human bodies so all could perform better. We thank you once again and are sure of same approach in future.

Dear Sir,

I'd like to acknowledge and sincerely thank Mrs. Meera and Mrs. Bhavna for taking excellent care  of my ward "Vaibhav Sahni" in Prenursery -A.
Apart from boosting his confidence and enabling him to converse fluently in English, they've looked after his health and general wellbeing  in a way much better than myself.
All my apprehensions that Vaibhav's bronchitis might worsen after joining school due to exposure to dust, wind and food with allergens
have been totally unfounded.
On all occassions, his teachers have ensured that Vaibhav participates in all activities in the class without compromising on his health. They've transformed my child from a shy little boy to a confident kid who loves to mingle with new guests,is assertive about his needs and likes to learn and explore new things.
I am very happy with the school, and the effort put into grooming every single child in a gentle manner.
I congratulate you,Sir for having such dedicated teachers working for you.

Dear Sharmila,

My ward Ranvir Singh Rana is a student of Nursery F in your school. On 18 Dec 2009, I attended the Front desk activity in my child's class.

This is to appreciate the wonderful act that was put together by the children and the teacher's. The children very confidently spoke as in show and tell, danced and recited rhymes clearly reflecting that they are being groomed on all aspects that will help develop their personality on the whole. The performance also gave us an insight to their activities and progress in school.

It was a heartwarming experience for me as a parent and I would sincerely like to thank Neeru mam and Esha mam for all the effort.

I would look forward to more such memorable and joyful visits to my child's class.

Thanks and Kind Regards,

Subject: RE- ADMISSION OF ISHAAN BERRY (CLASS- II-C)

Dear Madame,

This is w.r.t. our request for re- admission of our ward, Ishaan Berry (earlier studying in grade II-C).

Foremost, we as parents feel gratified to you, Scottish High & the Teachers here to have given the right exposure to Ishaan & a perfect learning platform which built in so much confidence in him & enabled him to open up to a world of knowledge in most congenial environment.

In almost two years of tenure that Ishaan was with Scottish high, we as parents did observe numerous positive changes in Ishaan's personality, which made us believe more in the School's study methodology. Ishaan also liked the School a lot & used to look forward to going to School daily.

All this reflected in his performance & this impacted positivelys the feedback received from both class teachers of grade I-C & II-C & also his school report cards, thanks to School's efforts also. He was one of the two sole students selected from all sections of grade I to represent the School in interschool science Competition. Participated in the School assembly on regular basis as he became a very good & confident orator.

In October, we were forced to withdraw our son from your School as Manu's office had confirmed him to handle their Noida branch recently & thus, we decided to shift base there only. As it was impossible for Ishaan to travel daily from Noida to Gurgaon, thus we had to withdraw him from SHIS. He was put mid- term in Step By Step School, Noida. There also, he set a record in the Admission exam (scoring 99 out of 100 marks).

However, Manu's Company scrapped their plan for their expansion plan owing to global recession & we were left in lurch as by that time, we had already withdrawn him from SHIS. Incase the School wishes to confirm this development with Manu's Managing Director, you are most welcome to check this fact.

We are really disheartened to know that the School's seats are all full. We as parents request you sincerely to look into the possibility of taking back Ishaan in the current session as IT'S A MATTER OF HIS FUTURE. We assure you that Ishaan would complete his entire Schooling tenure with Scottish High only.

We are also sure that accomodating Ishaan in grade II would be positive for the school as he has already adjusted to the School's curriculum & being a bright child, he would eventually prove to be an asset for the School.

Moreover, our home / permanent residence is still in Gurgaon only & we would be interested in putting Ishaan back in SHIS only & no other school owing to our faith in this institution. Currently, he is staying with our relative in New Delhi & we both are residing in Gurgaon as our offices are in & around Gurgaon. As Ishaan has to go to his noida school from there & its heartening to inform that he is with us only during weekends, which is very hard for any parent to bear.

We do agree that we did get carried away earlier though & joined temporarily the parents forum but we apologised this move of ours & still do apologise for our action. Hope you understand that Ishaan was a part of SHIS & we would want to continue him to the one & for our action, he should not be facing its brunt in anyway.

We request you to spare some of your valuable time to meet us up with us. Kindly inform us for a time suitable to you so that we can come & meet you up at the School.

OUR REQUEST: IF HE CAN JOIN FROM JANUARY 2010 ONLY OR FROM APRIL 2010 FOR GRADE- III.

We would sincerely appreciate your cooperation in this regard.

Best Regards,

Dear Chairman Sir,

We are very happy with the way school is providing education to our kid (Tanya Wahi class V – D), we can see immense change in her from the time she has joined Scottish High school. We are very lucky to have Teacher’s like Madhu Jain and Seema Malhotra (her IV std teacher) who have helped her come out of her cocoon and to teach her life skills and not only the bookish knowledge.

My daughter has mentioned that teachers teach them to meditate in the class for 2 minutes and then let them focus on new subject which helps them a lot.

I feel if kids can be introduced to some form of meditation which is suitable for them to practice and imbibe in their life will go a long way in this world where kids are coming under lot of pressure from a young age itself and then succumb to the pressure. It could be once a week activity but it will introduce them into this line of knowing self and becoming positive under all circumstances.

Thanks once again for providing such a positive environment for kids to grow and I really appreciate the efforts that you and your team has put in to select the best Teachers for the kids .

Sripath ,who is currently studying in Grade VI , has changed schools several times, primarily due to my movement into different

his progress graph.

We as parents, of our only child can vouch for Scottish High since it provides a holistic training which is imperative to equip the students to meet the myriad demands of the growing industry. The application oriented learning instead of rote based, development of soft skills ,research culture, effectively integrating technology and system of continuous assessment instead of exam-oriented system is being met by the school as per the international standards . While other schools follow 'One size fits all', this school seems to meet individual needs of my son, developed critical thinking and nurtured his academic excellence. The core interest of my son has been extra circular activities and the school provided him to show case his talent in creative arts and lawn tennis. He recently won a silver medal in an inter-school tennis tournament which has grown his confidence into multiple folds. We are proud of our son and thank his teachers who make learning an intrinsic experience and inculcate qualities of a good citizenship.

Dear Rupa Mam,

I would like to thank you Rupa Mam for all your efforts for organizing great lectures/ workshops for CIE teachers. At the outset I am highly appreciative of the way you have designed the lectures and learning sessions and shaping up our practical as well as theory sessions.

How can I forget thanking very hard-working Geeta and Rakhi mam who are taking all the pains to satisfy our quest and thirst for knowledge. They are quiet nice and patient with us. They are very efficient teachers and sweet too.

I am highly impressed with the special lectures you arranged for us  by Rajiv Mishra Sir on Special Need Children- Integrated Studies, Mr Ravindra Sir Autism and handwriting. I would not miss the opportunity of requesting you that we want more of these lectures as they have instead of satisfying ignited our urge to know more on these subjects. As they were eye-openers. These are the lectures/ topics which I am sure no other school is giving or providing or not even thinking for their trainee teachers.

Through this e-mail I would also like to thank the management of the school, the way they have created the infrastructure of the school which is perfect for developing various skills of children as well as for the teachers who are coming there for training. All Scottish High students shall have ample opportunity to develop their full potential both academically and in a wide range of artistic and athletic activities in a disciplined and intellectually challenging environment. The entire faculty is very efficient. Library is also quite resourceful. Even the Library- In charge mam is quite helpful to the trainee teachers.

Scottish High International School believes and actually implementing their thought of giving equal opportunities to all children without discrimination and favoritism. Truly according to them every Child is a gift of God. Therefore, it admits, differently privileged children and tries to integrate them with the mainstream under the care of special educators and therapists in a fully equipped Integrated Studies Department. Hats - off to the management.

It's my privilege that I'm associated with this esteemed school.

Thank You Rupa Mam and Scottish High International School!

Dear Ms.Sharmila Das

At the outset I am highly appreciative of the way your school has been shaping up my child Rahul Sindhi of class VIII-B . Based on this progressive attitude and a positive environment I would like to put my other child in your school for the next academic session . My Daughter has completed 3 years as on 19th May 2009 and as per the information available on your website she would be eligible for admission to Nursery . I also believe that you give preference to the siblings of the exisiting students .

Apart from the above I would like to request admission for another child for the same session and the same class who hails from my neighbourhood and has been going to the same play school as my daughter . The reason for this request is that both the children could travel to and fro together and would be able to adjust in the school faster . At present they are attending school at L'avenir run by the Shri Aurobindo Society .

I am hopeful that my request would be given some weightage based on my relationship with the school .

I was pleasantly surprised by a few observations. The children were well informed and had a fair knowledge of the module. The group activities were well coordinated. But most of all I was struck by the cheerfulness of the children. They seemed to be thoroughly enjoying what they were doing.

Enjoyment and learning should go hand in hand. If children enjoy learning and have supportive relationships with their teachers, they are more likely to engage and achieve high standards. And this has been achieved at KG-E

Subject: Delightful Journey of Learning Experience

Hi,

We are parents of Dravinam sharma student of KG-G at Scottish high School.

Today we attended " Journey of Learning " programme by School for KG class.

We would like to thank Mrs.Seema Bhatti, Junior School Head and the all the supporting faculty of Organizing committe of the school for coming up with such a novel idea which is indeed encouraging these future leaders in a very positive manner.

We really felt very satisfied and elated watching the little ones sharing their "Journey of Learning" Today.

We will not forget to thank the very patient and cool headed teacher of KG-G Ms. Varsha Panwar for preparing the little ones to perform excellently for this event, She is a true teacher who inspires her students and indulge them to ask questions, team building and studies as well in a fun filled environments.

Small Quote for Mrs. Varsha Panwar by Alice Wellington Rollins :--
"The test of a good teacher is not how many questions he/she can ask his/her pupils that they will answer readily, but how many questions he/she inspires them to ask him/her which he/she finds it hard to answer"

We wish all the very best for Scottish High School.

Thanks and Regards,

Vishal Sharma / Smriti Sharma

Dear Ma'am,

Hope this finds you & the rest of the Scottish High family in the best of health & spirits. :-)  This is Anukrit Bhargava. You may not remember me. I studied in SHIS for a very short while (December 2006-January 2007 I believe!), but I had a wonderful time there. I was just browsing through the internet, when it suddenly struck me that it had been a while since I'd checked the school's website. I was expecting to see the same old website, but really, I was in for a very pleasant surprise. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the whole design team for developing such a wonderful site. It potrays the true spirits of every highlander to perfection. I remember that when I was there, there were about 400 students. And now there are 1450! Truly a remarkable feat for a school that is so young. This shows the amount of trust and faith that the community has in Scottish High. Even though I'm no longer associated with the school, I still feel proud whenever I hear the mention of Scottish High. It feels great to say that yes, I was a part of that organisation. I'm currently studying at Selaqui World School, in Dehradun. I'm doing the IB Diploma, and am in the first year. That reminds me, heartiest congratulations once again to you & the SHIS family for gaining the status of an " IB World School". I'm sure the school will produce awesome, global citizens who will do the world some good. The school seems to have changed quite a lot since I left. I remember that during the time I was there, the building next to the swimming pool was still under construction. Is the auditorium situated in that building? I'm looking forward to coming and visiting the school soon. It would feel wonderful to meet all the teachers and students I remember, and also the newcomers. I am in regular touch with Mrs. Saini. I miss the school a lot. Hope everyone is doing well. God bless!

Anukrit.

Dear Ms Das,

I really appreciate your kind response. I would like to mention here that my initial request to the esteemed institution was based solely on recommendations from colleagues and internet. Your response has made me an ardent admirer of the institution, as I was not even expecting such effective response. I have had interaction with other schools however this is the best experience I had and therefore my compliments to the School and especially to you.

It would be a privilege for my daughter to be admitted to your institution as I am now confident that she would learn values, more than the general abc. I would request if you can please let me know the eligibility criteria and process for her to be admitted to Nursery, while we would be really grateful if she can join Pre-Nursery.

Thanking you.

This makes us deal with the situation better and we know what to avoid and how to minimise the effect. If these regular updates would not come from the school then we would have to spare time and search all over the internet, where you would agree, there are numerous opinions, which at times confuse you as well.

Hi Sharmila,

Hope you are well.

The H1N1 flu seems to be creating a major health scare and like most parents we too were worried if our child is safe at school.

Thank you for your feedback on the issue. We do appreciate the guidelines given by the school - especially when they have been written and approved by a doctor. It is also heartening to see our little ones coming home and telling us about preventive care at school. Small things like washing hands, using a handkerchief and covering your mouth when you cough go a long way.

I'm sharing some infomation provided by a friend, her children go to a school in Delhi. You may find some information useful (though the school has already provided similar material). The need of the hour is to educate and to make both parents and children aware.

I would also like to take this opportunity to say that we are really happy with the feedback and remedial action provided by Shaurya's class teacher Ms Shibi Nair and his hindi teacher Ms.Vasudha. It is indeed heartening to see teachers working so selflessly and putting side extra time to encourage our child.

Thanks again,

Hope this finds you well. I write to compliment and thank the school for the hugely improved traffic management system and structured entry in the mornings. Entry and exit from the school is so much smoother and it is wonderful to be welcomed by teachers at the various entrances. Presence of teachers before school begins is an excellent initiative for maintaining order and discipline in the corridors and begins the day for all students on a very positive note.

The new website is also very well structured. But it would be nice to have a section on faculty as earlier, since many of the subject teachers, especially new faculty remain unfamiliar until parent teacher meetings

Dear Sharmila and Mr Saini.

A very heartfelt thanks to you both for facilitating this highly important process in my and my children's life at this very critical juncture when we move cities and schools. Appreciate this from the bottom of my heart!

Yesterday in that room, I experienced one of the best meetings in my recent life. Not because I haven't had happy or successful meetings in life, but I could clearly see a win win in that meeting. Though I was meeting with you both on a One-2-One for the first time, it felt like we just met up for an evening stroll like friends in a park.

The 'Power to Give' is an immense power Mr Saini and you demonstrated that yesterday. It gives you immense happiness. I can vouch for this - as I felt it very closely in recent times, when I teach a few underprivileged children at home. I feel extremely happy because I give without expecting anything in return.

I could see the happiness on your face and on Sharmila's yesterday as you 'Gave'. May you continue to be 'Powerful' and 'Give More'!

Thank you very much again. I remember our parting pledge. If I am allowed to meet her, I shall personally take the bouquet to Ms Vandana Lulla on behalf of all three of us.

Best Regards.

Dear Madam(s) and Sir,
This is Sutharman, father of the three children – Ananth, Tharini and Veera – who had just relocated to Bangalore. This is to express our heartfelt thanks to you and the great school.
As most of you could remember, three years back, we came from Singapore and I was desperately looking for GOOD schools where I could place my kids safely. As I was moving along the road (actually I was heading for Heritage school), I saw this beautiful school and stopped looking for schools immediately. I thought this is the school where I can put my kids safely (and I did that). I have also recommended many parents to place their kids in this beautiful school.
During those beautiful three years, my kids loved the school and enjoyed every moment of it. They got so many friends, they have developed a lot of skills (academic, linguistic and social) and they had the opportunity to learn from fantastic teachers.
We would have loved to continue with this but life has to move on and so we have moved on. Here in Bangalore, we have managed to place our kids in schools (can not compare with SHIS though) and they have started to get along. As we have somehow settled here, it is time for me to say the thanks to you and the foundation.

Thanks a lot for:
- All the sweet memories
- All the help rendered all the while
- The beautiful understanding and the help rendered while we tried to get the TC and the Security Deposit back. Even though we were not actually there, you are so kind enough to understand our situation and act accordingly - managed to send us everything safely through the courier.
- All the care that you have taken for the welfare of our kids.
- The dedicated attention and help from all the teachers especially Dr. Sanjay Sachdev (who tried his best to keep Ananth there so that he can complete his 10th peacefully) and Kakul madam.

Finally I would just like to say this:
Please try to help those parents who have to relocate to other cities in India as much as possible. To be honest, we have suffered a lot here in Bangalore. Perhaps, SHIS should start working with schools in big cities like Chennai, Mumbai and Bangalore in some form/format. Ryan does that! Anyway, please feel free to give my contact details to any parent who requires any form of advice while moving to Bangalore. One more thing, Bangalore schools do not like foreign languages that much except for French!
Thanks a lot once again and my sincere best wishes to you and the foundation!

Thanks and best regards,
Suthar

It was a very good gesture on your and Mrs Jetleys part to show it as a routine shuffling rather than making it obvious for Pranav.Little sweet gestures like these talk high about the school and show the schools ability to handle such sensitive issues.

Pranav is an above average but a very emotional and sensitive child. He takes things to his heart and is an introvert as far as his feeling are concerned. I hope he lives up to our expectations and one day makes his school proud with all your support and right guidance.

It would be nice if you could expose him to inter clan and inter school competitions ,if he deserves. I an sure it would really boost up his morale which is affected right now due to his self discovery of his problem and series of tests which followed.

First of all, I wish to congratulate the school for the successful affiliation to PYP. When Ria joined the highlander fraternity 3 years ago, it was the promise and the dream that drew us to the school. And till date, each dream is being realized, each promise being fulfilled, each time and on time. And today, as I stand at the doorstep, where my second child, Riti, is stepping on the same threshold (she joins in nursery this year), it’s with great warmth and confidence that we send her to your care, knowing how well she will be nurtured and grow.
We feel really grateful to the management, lead and the teacher staff, who have been carving out Ria into a considerate and sensitive child. In all the 3 years Ria has spent in Scottish High till date, this year has been the most impressionable. I would like to thank her class teacher, Madhulika Ma’am, in particular.   Her involvement and one-to-one personal care is truly beyond the call of duty. Always ready to lend a ear (many a time, I have called her at odd hours), she seems to connect with each child so well. Her care and rare-to-find sincerity, has been really instrumental towards Ria’s holistic growth. She tells the kids that she is their Mama and not Ma’am in school! And oh, how well she practices it!!!
Truly summarizing, I have never encountered a more loving and genuine teacher as Madhulika Ma’am, in my own student life.
I am really looking forward to many more years of togetherness with Scottish High.

With best regards,
Sarika Aggarwal

Hi Mrs Goyal,

I just heard from sasha that they had a drama class . I'm really pleased about this and hope Drama will be continued as a regular weekly activity and not clubbed with dance. I'm sure you agree too that drama is an excellent way of building confidence, public speaking and being creative. Please continue with this activity.

Subject: Scottish High Makes a Difference!!

Dear Mr. Saini,

I would like to congratulate you and your staff for making the school a
real differentiator. The school might be doing great things, but I think the
attitude that your staff has makes it a complete differentiator from the
rest. The students are not treated as just student, but as one's own
kids - I wonder why my daughter always wants to get a 100% attendance and if she
falls sick she misses her teacher more than any one else.

I would especially like to recognize and thank Mrs. Seema Malhotra whose
courteous visit to my house made my daughter feel perfectly fine, when she
was running on 102 fever. Seema and I exchanged words during the last 3
days when Vanshika was not able to go to school and she did mention that she
would be visiting to see 'her little one'. Saying is different from
doing - but she proved me wrong. The children admire her and always wants to be
with her. She is a perfect role model and the way she handles these kids is
highly appreciable.

With every year passing by, I have had a great time with Scottish High and
I wish it all the best in all future endeavors.

Thanks & Regards

Parent of Mridha & Samridh Anand
Dear Mr Saini,
Mridha and Samridh are doing well in school. They are studying in The Hiranandani Foundation School, Powai. Academically the school is excellent, A lot of stress is given to written class work and research. Emphasis is given to good team games and regular drills and march past during the P.E. periods as well.

Inspite of being in such a good school, not a day passes by without the kids not missing and remembering Scottish High. The kids fondly remember all the fun memories of Scottish High. They miss their teachers, friends, interesting activities, excursions, movie shows, meals, etc and the list could go on endlessly. Of course it is not only the kids who miss the school but we as parents also miss the institution a lot. As parents too we feel we were really pampered by the school , for which reason it was so difficult to adjust to the new school initially here in Mumbai. It was truly a nightmare getting the kids admitted in the school. the rude behaviour of the office and administration staff, confusions galore due to lack of proper coordination and information being conveyed. Running in all directions for books, uniforms and conveyance. All these and many more incidents forced us to realise and compare the kids wonderful stay and experiences at Scottish High, right from their admission to their last day at SHIS.

I would like to place on record my deep appreciation for all that SHIS stands for. Scottish high has every right to boast about its world class infrastructure, ever-ready and hardworking staff and above all a highly dedicated and enthusiastic management team. I would like to end with a note of thanks to every member in the Scottich High family for all you have done for our children during there stint in Scottish high. We also wish all the succcess and our deepest good wishes to the continued excellence of SHIS and its Highlanders for a great future ahead.

Warm regards
Sushila Anand
