Dear Sudha Ma’am
As a long standing patron of Scottish High – Medha Goyal, our daughter, has been with the school since Nursery and after IGCSE, is now a IB-DP student of yours – we wanted to put on record some of our heartfelt sentiments for the school – its teachers, administration and staff.
It would not be an exaggeration on our part at all to say that SHIS has had a great and positive influence in shaping Medha into the responsible, and affectionate, young adult that she is growing up to be. She is our daughter, and we will always be proud of her, but along with our love and affection, she is also now earning our respect for the value system that she is imbibing and demonstrating – something that would not have been possible without the encouraging and supporting environment of SHIS.
As parents, SHIS has always made us feel comfortable, and safe. Your attention to details, and the caring and loving environment that you create both inside and outside the classroom, are your strengths. PYP, and then IGCSE, have been great experiences for Medha as a student, and for us as parents.
Pawan Mittal Sir, has been a rock solid pillar of support with his ever reassuring, open-door, very constructive and an always supportive and positive approach. We have gone to him on several occasions with questions and concerns, and have always walked out feeling confident, re-assured and satisfied.
Over the last several weeks, as the world comes to terms with COVID-19, Dr Sanjay Sachdeva Sir and Renuka Bhasin Ma’am, have been working with us navigate forward with the IB-DP on-line delivery. Both of them have been extremely understanding of our concerns and continue to address them in the typical SHIS fashion – open, considerate and accommodating.
We haven’t mentioned Medha’s several individual teachers here – and even if we tried, we couldn’t do justice to it because over the years, every single one of them has earned our appreciation! We don,t know how you will manage this for us – but somehow we do want to say a very big and warm THANK YOU, to each one of them.
For Medha and us, the next two years are the trophy years at SHIS. I am sure they will be as rewarding and satisfying for all of us as the previous years. With COVID-19 and its aftermath here to stay for several more months ahead, we remain confident that SHIS will charter a safe and secure way for its students and staff balancing physical safety and well being with academic rigour. Continued on-line delivery as the mainstay, or a parallel platform, till at least September 2020 should be a candidate for serious consideration by the school.
