The 76th Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at SHIS.
The school echoed with patriotic fervour as the NCC Cadets demonstrated a drill with heads held high with pride to exhibit their enthusiasm and affection as a tribute to our National Flag. The celebrations began with the hoisting of the Indian flag by our esteemed School Principal, Dr. Sanjay Sachdeva. The entire school courtyard reverberated with the rhythmic beats of songs sung by the school choir group followed by the enthralling self composed poem recitation by a Highlander to further embellish the momentous occasion.
To showcase their tribute as a mark of respect and love towards our nation the students presented various enthralling dance performances, displaying their laudable coordination and talent. The students saluted the National Flag and pledged to uphold the honour and integrity of the country while continuing to work for a progressive, modern and prosperous India.
