Dear August Leadership & Faculty of SHIS,
As the time of Board Exams for ISC is getting nearer, my Mindspace is filling up with reflections of past 12.5 years – that Dyuti has spent in SHIS – from a toddler entering in the year 2006 to a young & bright student in 2019 – ready to face the world.
The other day, while sharing the Graduation ceremony moments, she was very emotional with tears trickling down. At first, I brushed it off as a “part of a life” situation but was compelled by my inner self to reflect upon her last 12.5 years…..couldn’t stop myself to write this note to you all.
Thank You All…from bottom of our hearts for being The Most Important and Integral contributor in making Dyuti what she is today! Cant’ be more delighted as parents, about the decision that we took in 2006. The Platform, the Opportunities, the Challenges, the Environment and Most Importantly the EDUCATION given to her at SHIS have been deeply gratifying – we couldn’t have asked for more!
It all began in December of year 2006 – when we were on exploration visit to SHIS. After the tour of the school, we were asked if we would like to meet the Chairman of the school. YES..was the instant answer! That was when we were ushered to Cmdr. Saini’s Office………..AND THAT TRULY was THE GAME CHANGING Moment of our lives, Dyuti’s Life…!
Dr (Cmdr.) Saini Sir!…..not only you were as charismatic and diligent as you are today….you were very KIND to agree to take Dyuti Mid-Session in KG. Thank you Sir…for being instrumental in letting us take the Most Important decision of Dyuti’s Life – admitting her to SHIS. Always thought that I would tell you this in person sometime, but our respective works have not allowed this to happen.
Dear Mrs Goyal Ma’am..…..Thank you for being so kind and welcoming, ever so patient in listening to us on many occasions and keep Dyuti motivated all the time. Thank you for your guidance, friendship, and for your discipline!
Sanjay Sir…do not have words to thank you !…..You have been real ‘Friend in NEED’ to Us and to Dyuti…Open doors of your office to Dyuti and other students and to parents speak volumes of your welcoming nature. While writing this……I recall countless interactions with you on phone, mails and in person….when we discussed her issues related to academics or extra curriculars Or her career options and many more…..! You have been truly a guiding and motivating force for us!
Pooja Dawar Ma’am….thank you very much….for being instrumental in choices she has made for career. Today we stand as proud parent with Dyuti already having offers of Admission in three global universities including two from US.
Our sincere gratitude to Mrs Geeta Bedi who, besides being a great teacher, has helped and counselled Dyuti to come successfully, out of her middle school crisis.
Our gratitude to Mrs Akanksha Yadav – her Physics Teacher and Clan elder, Mrs Neha Tiwary, Mrs Ruma Jain, Mrs Monika Sobti, Mrs Spandita Majumder, Pawan Sir, Mrs Vandana Jaitley and all other teachers associated with Dyuti- they all have immensely contributed to shape up Dyuti. Thank you all!
A million thanks to Mr Vinod and Mr Vinay from the Bus team – who have safely carried Dyuti to & from School year after year ever since she was a toddler.
While Dyuti eventually moves out of school after the exam, teachings at SHIS shall remain. Thank you for the great work that SHIS is doing and the huge impact the school has made in Dyuti’s life and lives of all other students. Thank you for all your selfless sacrifices.
With best regards and Wishes
Neeraj & Neeti Pant
