Dear Ms Seema Bhati,
With this letter, we would like to show our gratitude and appraise everyone at Scottish High family for bringing out the best in kids during the time of Covid by adding extra efforts in taking the online classes for kids and making them feel as if they are in a physical school.
I would like to congratulate the team and children for presenting the PYP exhibition virtually. Their success as learners, working within the framework of the programme was an opportunity for students to bring together all the subject disciplines and utilize all the transdisciplinary skills they have been learning through their time at school.
As we know for 5th-grade students, this is the culmination of their experiences working with the PYP and is a summative assessment of their understandings of the programme principles and framework. Since it is conducted independently, though teachers have provided a lot of support in the form of suggestions and constructive feedback.
The focus on the transdisciplinary theme, How we express ourselves and working as part of a collaborative group, the way students have conducted an independent investigation into an issue of local and global importance was upstanding.
The role-play, playing a keyboard, singing English and Hindi song, speaking in their chosen foreign language and presenting mathematics while presenting the PYP exhibition was breathtaking.
The task for students to educate others and convince them to take some form of positive action for the topic chosen by them was extraordinary.
We have seen a healthy level of collaboration and energy in the group while practising for there PYP exhibition. It was encouraging to see students so engaged in their learning and so supportive of each other in the process.
The level of confidence and the way the entire exhibition presented by the group with the use of technology without having a single glitch has kept us engaged completely.
We would like to acknowledge each subject teacher for their continuous support, guidance and encouragement towards kids. A special thanks to Ms Aruna Puri the HRT of Grade V – C, for being so energetic, a great motivator and a great mentor.
In the end, we would like to mammoth our respect towards the Primary School Principal Ms Seema Bhati for the wonderful journey kids had under her guidance.
Thanks,
Shilpi Sharma & Ashwani Sharma
