The Mathematics department celebrated SHIS Mathematics Day on 29th July 2022, Friday. The day started with the book launch of Mathematica, a book of Maths articles written by our highlanders, by the School Director Ms. Sudha Goyal and the Senior School Principal, Dr. Sanjay Sachdeva. Our highlander Viraat Arora of XII IBDP spoke about the importance of Mathematics in the school assembly. The students from Grade VI – XII participated enthusiastically in different activities designed for them. Students of Grade VII-X attempted a Mathematics Challenge in the zero period. Grade VI and VII students displayed their creativity through Frank Stella Protractor Art Activity, Grade VIII students enjoyed the Word Hunt activity and IX-X students were ecstatic when they were playing Mathematical Tambola. Grades XI and XII discussed interesting facts about Maths in their classes and made creative and colourful posters to spread awareness about Mathematics. Overall, everyone from the middle school to the senior school took part in the activities with zeal and displayed their passion for Maths.
