An insightful workshop was held for the students of Grade X, XI, and XII at Scottish High International School by Pratisandhi Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to de-stigmatizing sexuality education.
The session, led by Ms. Anisha Hallan, Mr. Aryaman Singh, Ms.Riya Srivastava and Mr. Ronit Sharma, aimed to educate and empower students on vital subjects of sexual health and well-being.
For Grade X, the session covered “Understanding Consent, Impact of Pornography and Addictions,” addressing topics like consent, the side effects of masturbation and pornography and various forms of addictions such as vaping, gaming, drug and alcohol abuse.
For Grade XI and XII the focus was on “Safe and Unsafe Sexual Behaviour” where topics such as consequences of sexual activity, contraceptives, STI’s, pornography, masturbation and addictions were discussed.
Both sessions were well-received, with students participating in the discussions. The interactive activities such as case studies and anonymous Q&A ensured a comfortable environment for learning as well.
