Title: Books that Build Futures: Highlanders Spark a Wave of Change -‘Har Haath Kitaab 3.0’
In a heartfelt effort to promote literacy and sustainability, the Senior School Highlanders of Scottish High International School, in collaboration with NGO Inchpaper—a proud partner of Mission LiFE (Ministry of Environment & Climate Change, Govt. of India)—successfully carried out the ‘Har Haath Kitaab 3.0’ initiative for the third year in a row.
With enthusiastic participation, our students collected 12 boxes of books—including storybooks, notebooks, and textbooks—carefully sorted and handed over for distribution to government schools, libraries, and underprivileged children. These books represent more than paper; they are tools of empowerment, education, and hope.
This meaningful initiative supports SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 12: Responsible Consumption & Production, aligning with our commitment to both education and the environment. In 2025 alone, this drive helped reuse nearly 200 kgs of paper, saved 3 trees, conserved 5000 litres of water, and prevented 0.08 metric tonnes of CO₂e emissions.
As we celebrate World Environment Day, we applaud our Highlanders for driving real change—Books in every hand for a brighter future .
