Scottish High International School held the Investiture Ceremony of the Student Council for the year 2016-17 on Tuesday the 12th of July, in the school auditorium.
The ceremony was attended by the Chairman Dr. Cdr. Kartikay Saini, school Director Mrs. Sudha Goyal and the parents. The ceremony commenced with a dance performance by the students. The School Director addressed the audience and shared the details about the fair procedure followed by the school in the selection of these students. Thereafter, the graduating student council was invited to hand over the flags and their responsibilities to the newly selected council members. The proud parents were then called upon the stage to confer upon their wards the sashes and the badges for their respective posts.
The sight of the new student council, on the stage, with their flags, sashes and badges, taking the oath of responsibility was truly graceful and mesmerizing. The oath was administered by the new Head Girl and the new Head Boy.
The ceremony came a close after the Chairman’s speech. He congratulated the proud parents as well as the new student council. He said that this is the best and the most unique student council in the history of Scottish High and the council members have set a benchmark for the other students to follow. The ceremony concluded with the singing of the school song and the National Anthem.
