Culture does for the world what the only culture can. The month of July saw Scottish High transform into a social science laboratory as we held a SAARC-themed exhibition.
Food, charts, map, clothes, performances and songs, each specially created to represent the unique nature of every SAARC nation, came together to create a special day. The highlight was a magnificent 3D model showing each nation in full glory with detailed topography, information about all the SAARC offices and political borders.
Few celebrations are complete without a skit and our senior students, not ones to fall behind, enacted the 18th SAARC Summit on the topic of ‘Deeper Integration for Peace and Security’. If you thought that was the icing on the cake, think again. The show was entirely organized by the students from classes VI-XII under the guidance of their teachers.
One small step for highlanders, one giant leap for mankind! A great day deserves a spot of paraphrasing after all.
