Diversity and tolerance are integral to the learning experience at Scottish High.
This means we encourage our young leaders to bring about social change through creativity, collaboration, and structure. Highlanders Isha Sharma and Utsav Dutt Sharma have combined the best of these values to build Trans+ve – a path-breaking initiative that aims to create a safe environment for the #transgender community in India.
Created in association with The Global Education & Leadership Foundation (tGELF), Trans+ve’s mission is to build a better future for the transgender community and to spread awareness about the issues this marginalized group faces.
The project was a part of the prestigious Youth Leader Competition held during the tGELF Harmony Fest 2016 and was selected as one of the top five initiatives of its kind in the country.
Isha and Utsav, you make us proud and we hope that you continue to excel and use your values to have a positive impact on society.
