A generic counselling session for Grade X IGCSE students was organised where they can discuss their course of action for the Grade X. Counselors discussed how students should plan their year ahead of time in order to strike a balance between academics and extracurricular activities. The need of open communication with instructors, parents, and friends was highlighted during this key year. They should make their teachers study buddies. In terms of motivation, locus of control is critical; they must be able to develop an internal incentive to perform academically. IGCSE cordinator Mr. Pawan Mittal also addressed the students on assignment and the exam pattern they would follow during this year. Students felt that it was a session which gave them a view about the year in a gist. They are looking forward to more such sessions where we can also talk about time management.
