Scottish High International School, Gurugram celebrated International English Day on the 23rd of April 2023 i.e Monday which is traditionally observed as the birth and death anniversary of ‘William Shakespeare’. The celebration aimed to entertain as well as inform, with the goal of increasing awareness and respect for the history and culture of the English Language and the achievements of the innumerable writers, poets and playwrights. There were many activities, workshops, and quizzes throughout the day, designed for various grades, which were educative as well as interesting. Various classroom activities like Taboos, Crosswords, Quizzes and writing poems which were conducted by the English Teachers in their respective classes.
The students showcased their brilliance by rapidly answering the Quiz sheet provided to them where; they tried to ingrain the usage of cognitive skills, knowledge, and creativity to develop and instill confidence in the present generation about the literary field and paves way for the betterment and give us courage, which is the ladder on which all other virtues mount. The day was a kaleidoscope of thoughts, ideas, and perspectives.
