Heartfelt Teachers’ Day Tribute from Parents of a Highlander

Heartfelt Teachers’ Day Tribute from Parents of a Highlander

As parents of a Highlander at Scottish High International School, we are filled with gratitude and cherished memories from our son, Sresht’s remarkable 15-year journey with the school.

On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, we would like to pay heartfelt tribute to all the educators—both teaching and non-teaching staff—whose dedication and guidance have been instrumental in Sresht’s academic and personal development.

1. The parents are very happy about the accessibility of the head of the institute, Sanjay sir. Sresht often shares how his insights on personality development have been incredibly impactful and always tries to bring out the best in each child.

2. A testament to the discipline is the school Chairman attending all the annual day and award ceremonies on the dot.

3. Sresht is a big fan of Pawan sir, his maths tutor, he calls him as a GOAT (Greatest Of All Times).

4. Neeraj sir, his physics teacher has always encouraged Sresht to participate in various science activities and deeply values his impeccably neat and detailed notes. He mentions Jyothi Gauba ma’am for her patience in understanding physics concepts during the Covid online classes.

5. Sresht calls his Chemistry teacher, Monica Ma’am, his favourite Chemistry professor—a perfectionist who is deeply passionate about her subject and teaching. He especially appreciates her consistent habit of sharing curriculum updates and additional learning resources. He also fondly remembers his former Chemistry teachers—Neeru Bansal Ma’am and Renuka Basin Ma’am—who left a lasting impression on him.

6. His class teacher, Akanksha Ma’am, is a friendly and dynamic Physics educator whose constant support and guidance helped Sresht achieve a perfect 100 in the subject.

7. We would also like to acknowledge Bansi Sir, Santhosh Sir, and Mukesh Sir for their contribution to Sresht’s journey.

8. A special mention goes to Maya Ma’am (History) and Anshu Ma’am (English), both of whom have instilled in students the importance of approaching teachers with respect and good manners. Maya Ma’am, now retired, is especially remembered for her discipline and attention to detail— ensuring students had the right materials, be it textbooks, pencils, or water bottles, at the right time and place. Her standards resembled that of military precision, and her legacy continues to inspire.

9. Ruma Ma’am and Anshu Ma’am, his English teachers, made a lasting impact with their insightful explanations and engaging teaching style.

10. Darshan sir, his PE educator, is very supportive and Sresht likes to engage in conversations with him regarding sports and generic topics.

11. Pooja Ma’am, his Commercial Applications teacher, made a strong impact with her ability to simplify complex topics, making them easily understandable—even for a science-focused student like Sresht.

12. His German teacher, Sakshi Ma’am, played an important role in developing his language skills and was always ready to guide and encourage in his language learning journey.

13. Neha Gupta Ma’am has been a remarkable mentor through the tGELF Company of the Year program. Under her focused and insightful guidance, Sresht’s team developed eco-friendly products, a key factor in their success. Sananda ma’am’s (his clan parent) guidance and creativity was an enriching experience during numerous competitions preparation.

14. Virender Sir—affectionately known as the “carpenter sir”—and his team,  whose practical knowledge and scientific inputs during the design phase were instrumental in helping the students win an award.

15. Mithila Ma’am, his class teacher in Grade 11, is fondly remembered for her unwavering support, academically or otherwise.

16. Mamta Sharma Ma’am and Pooja Sethi Ma’am have played a pivotal role in helping Sresht excel in Hindi during middle school — a language that is not his native tongue — enabling him to achieve outstanding results.

17. Ruchi Mathur Ma’am, his History tutor and Grade 10 Class Teacher, has been incredibly supportive and cooperative. Sresht often spoke about how her teaching felt like storytelling — engaging, immersive, and easy to connect with.

18. Scottish High reminds us of thoughtfully choreographed annual days and vibrant monkey business shows, enhanced by the melodious anchoring of Seema Bhati ma’am & Simran ma’am. We miss them dearly.

19. We still remember his per-nursery class teacher, Meera ma’am, for her valuable suggestions on channelling the energy of our hyperactive toddler.

20. Kavita ma’am has encouraged Sresht and many other students to take part in social and environmental welfare activities. Her dedication and sense of responsibility towards the society are commendable.

21. The front office staff, security personnel, housekeeping team, and canteen staff have always been kind and dedicated, ensuring that students have a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience within the school premises. A special mention goes to Nidhi Ma’am and Lakshman Bhaiya, whom Sresht fondly remembers.

22. It would be unfair not to mention Sonia Jain ma’am, who has been an instrumental mentor to him and many other students. She finds the mettle in her students at a very early stage and encourages in overcoming the weakness, keeping the parents in loop until she instills confidence in that child. Her efforts have helped many students rise to leadership roles in the school, including Sresht, we are indebted to her.

23. Finally, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the teachers (teaching and non-teaching) who have been part of Sresht’s journey, whether directly or indirectly. We apologize if we haven’t named each of you, but please know that your contributions have made a significant impact on his life.

24. Thank you, Scottish High, for your unwavering commitment to excellence, discipline, and the holistic development of your students.

25. God Bless Scottish High!
