Dear Sir/ Ma’am,
This mail is to share my appreciation for Ms Gurpreet Kaur, Class teacher of class X C in Scottish High. My daughter is her student since class IXth last year. I have been meeting her in various PTM’s and during home visits for the last nearly 2 years and felt that it was time to acknowledge the teachers who make a difference.
Ms Gurpreet is a teacher in the true sense, who looks after all the students in the class equally whether they are top rankers or average students. She has induced a love of ‘Mathematics’ which is her core subject in most of the students by her skilful teaching. In fact, despite the huge syllabus for Mathematics in class X, she has ensured that there are regular tests after each chapter which keeps the students on their toes and also helps them realize their mistake. But what is important is that post the tests she takes great pain to share the improvement areas with students and help them cover the gap.
In addition, being the class teacher, she ensures that we, the parents, are updated on all circulars, test status, etc. over and above the hard copies which are shared with the children. As a parent, I find her extremely approachable and easy to talk with on all matters related to my daughter and feel extremely satisfied by her prompt responses. The same feedback is shared by kids who find her easy to talk with and also approach her if they face any issue/ need support.
I would like to wish her all the best in her teaching profession and also hope Scottish High has more teachers like her.
While the work of some of the other good teachers is also appreciable, I just wanted to share my thoughts about Ms Gurpreet.
Regards
Neela Sinha
