At SHIS we want to instill a sense of larger social responsibility among our students. In line with this endeavour, Highlander Soham Kulkarni from IX standard presented his research on “Water Polluted Cities of India” at the Esri India User Conference held at Leela Ambience Convention Hotel on 19th of January.
Soham’s research impressed the industry luminaries in attendance, including Jack Dangermond, Global CEO of Esri, Agendra Kumar, the organization’s Country Head and Dr. Swarna Subba Rao, Surveyor General of India, among others.
Soham was awarded a Speaker Memento while Anjali Saxena, Soham’s teacher, was awarded a Mentor Memento at the end of the conference.
The next big step for Soham is to add detail to his plan using the Arc GIS tool for a possible opportunity to showcase his work in the US.
Great work, Soham! Continue charting your path to success.
