Our aim is to empower students to be creative and critical thinkers, capable of bringing genuine social change across all areas alike. 14-year old Diya Shukla, a National lawn tennis champion, has taken it upon herself to make a mark in on the turf with her first social enterprise – the Playmakers Foundation, created to give underprivileged students access to sports and related vocations.
Diya believes that India’s sporting infrastructure is a long way from where it needs to be. In her view, sports is not just a matter of health and fitness but also one of international reputation.
She hopes Playmakers Foundation will draw attention and opportunities to the communities that need it most. With 70+ students already associated with the program, that journey is well and truly under way.
