A proud alumni of Delhi Public School, R. K. Puram, New Delhi, Shivani Johri graduated from the prestigious Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University. She holds a Post-Graduation Diploma from NIFT. With a deep desire to contribute to the society, the field of education beckoned and became her true calling. Thereafter, she pursued a course in Early Childhood Education based on Montessori Method of Education and a degree in Bachelors in Education (B.Ed). Always attached with the Early Years, she displays a passion to educate and empower the young learners. In sync with the School’s mission, Shivani firmly believes in building a child’s character and not just personality, to enable them to evolve into their own authentic self-hood.
Actively involved in the curriculum development and holistic growth of the learners, she balances academic and student development with ease. Self-motivated and enthusiastic, she seeks perfection in everything she endeavours to do and is committed towards lifelong learning. She resolutely believes in the ethos of the IB Programme which is to develop Internationally Minded students who grow up to be compassionate, caring, independent and confident learners for life.
Shivani has attended many IB and Professional Development workshops and works closely to help the learning community i.e. our teachers and parents in understanding its core value. With a strong sense of commitment towards work, she considers collaborative work and giving Agency to the teachers and students to help them reach their fullest potential through continuous learning opportunities. Shivani brings to bear on her work the fruits of brilliant academic background, managerial and organizational skills acquired during her over 20 years as a professional in the corporate arena and as an educator and above all an intense desire to excel and be a catalyst of change.
